Does the 145-pitch mark implicitly assume 9 innings? If so, then it should be lowered for (most) home wins, as the home team would not necessarily bat in the bottom of the 9th.

Bell has BOTH hands in the effort. And, overall, is having a tremendous impact although, as is the case with most batting coaches, it’s behind-the-scenes stuff.

As a Puerto Rican and a die hard Bucs fan, I am completly with the movement
Clemente is and was a leader of we the Latins. He was THE BEST right fielder that ever play the game. But he was a better human . He died for helping another country. We in PR love Pittsburgh

how did they not push us around? 1 accidential plunking, 6 game suspension and they plunked us 3 times after. sounds like sop they do as they wish, with the leagues approval.

I don’t have Facebook so I will put it in a comment here about last night’s Pirates game. Umpire Timmins had no right to assume Sanchez was throwing at Craig. A warning under current rules should have sufficed. Cards pitchers were hitting Pirate batters and nothing was said. Moreover Timmins call on Jones was clearly wrong. He was calling strikes that were clearly balls in critical situations. I hope Pirate brass complain to the league office about Timmins’s poor umpiring last night and the league listens. If I were Timmin’s teacher he would have an “F” grade for last night.
